Nicole Miller’s music is relatable. As you listen to each song, it’s easy to reflect on your life. Miller said, “Lonely on the Weekend” is a group of songs about a broken relationship of two people who want to be together, but can’t seem to do it. Her melodies and lyrics are infectious, and it’s easy to get hooked on her music. Undiscovered Nashville has been supporting Nicole since the release of her debut single, “Strangers Again.”

Hung Up,” the first single from the EP, was released on July 19, 2019. Nicole said, “This song is for those who are the not girlfriend, girlfriend. I have always had guy friends, who at times want the emotional connection of a girlfriend. Still, they were not interested in dating.” How many can relate?

“Drinking Around It” featuring Garrett Biggs is a song about two people who are obviously into each other. Still, they can’t seem to admit it. The melody in this song is incredible, and we are sure you will agree. “Not Good With Feelings” fits nicely into the story told on the EP. Everyone has caught feelings for someone but is afraid to say to them what is on their mind. The song plays on our fears of rejection.

The title track, “Lonely on the Weekend,” is about someone who wants someone, but they want more. You know you need to move on, but when you are alone, they can’t seem to stop thinking about the other person. The final song, “Almost,” will hit you in your feels. It is reflecting a relationship that has ended. It is easy to relate to that feeling. Besides, almost everyone has a person who they feel is the one that got away.

More on Nicole Miller and Her Love of Music

Nicole Miller’s love of music began in West Des Moines, Iowa. She lived and 5 minutes from the farms and 15 minutes from downtown Des Moines. Miller’s parents were into the music scene in Des Moines. Her father played guitar, and her mom was a singer. Nicole said, “They would play in our basement, and I would listen through the rafters and bathroom floor. I always wanted to be just like my mom. That was how I decided I wanted to sing.”

The singer/songwriter also said, “My parents would let me go with them to gigs sometimes. I thought seeing my parents on stage was the coolest thing. I still think they are rockstars.” Nicole would become hung up on music, and we are thankful for her passion.
